Hi,
I’m an Italian student and for my thesis in engineering I’m working with MDS4. Sorry for my inexact English! I must monitor laptops and I have utilized for it Ganglia ed I have utilized the command Gmetric for some extensions as level of battery, information about wi-fi connections, bluetooth connections etc.
I have observed these steps that I have discover in this forum

1) install ganglia or hawkeye,
2) enable the automatic registration (by editing the
$GLOBUS_LOCATION/etc/gram-service/jndi-config.xml file and making sure
that the "reg" parameter is set to "true" under the "mdsConfiguration"
section of the file -- near the bottom), and
3) configure the use of ganglia or hawkeye by making sure the proper
line is in the
$GLOBUS_LOCATION/etc/globus_wsrf_mds_usefulrp/gluerp.xml file
(e.g. "<defaultProvider>java
org.globus.mds.usefulrp.glue.GangliaElementProducer</defaultProvider>"
for use with ganglia) as specified on the previously provided webpage,
and finally
4) restart the container and wait a minute before running wsrf-query

......and there are non problem!

Now I’m asking how to register new metrics in the Index because I ‘m able to monitor the default metrics of gmond (Ganglia daemon) but I’m non able to monitor new metrics. I have thinked to modify the glue schema
..but could you give me some informations about I can do it?
Help me!!!!!
Thank you so much,
Faby
