Thanks for the information. That confirms what I thought.
As an aside, as part of caGrid development, we've needed a java "plugin"
that would take in the subject-action-object tuple and do this kind of
authorization. I've developed that plugin. I'm assuming that the gridftp
community could use such a plugin, so I plan on contributing it back to
the community once I've hardened the code and am satisfied it's stable.
It is as you propose, an authz plugin, and "links" C code to java code.
Please let me know if you are interested.
